The Intention of My Blog

Welcome, my beloved readers!

In case you're wondering, it's not a typo up there for you see the definition of goodly is:

used as an adjective to describe something
1. of ample or good size, ex: a goodly amount.
2. of a fine appearance, ex: a goodly young man.
3. Archaic. of good quality, ex: a goodly gift.

I am a mother who home educates her children; I would be pleased if you'd look around. You never know if I might have something to your liking. I've blogged about different topics. I hope you enjoy your stay here. May God bless you with peace, a renewing of your mind, and rest as you read my posts.

Please remember to subscribe to my blog, using any variety of methods, which are below to the right, including Facebook.

Thanks to all for your patience as I have been on the mend. I had double heart bypass surgery in February of 2013, and I needed to focus on my recovery, which has been in steady progress. Thanks for your kind consideration.

Fulfilling the Destiny of Sharing God's Word

In the Bible, Ezra is mentioned as a man of God.

6 This Ezra was a scribe, well versed in the law of Moses, which the LORD, the God of Israel, had given to the people of Israel. He came up to Jerusalem from Babylon, and the king gave him everything he asked for, because the gracious hand of the LORD his God was on him.    I think it's awesome that God presented special teachers for the Israelites.  It allowed the community to learn from these selected persons.  Today, we have such people in abundance.  It is sad that we don't take more notice and appreciation of them.  We need to respect and listen to such learned, chosen individuals.  9 He had left Babylon on April 8 and came to Jerusalem on August 4, for the gracious hand of his God was on him.  10 This was because Ezra had determined to study and obey the law of the LORD and to teach those laws and regulations to the people of Israel.    Only a few persons are willing to apply themselves to learn about God.  How does one purpose in his heart to dedicate his life to the work of instructing God's people?  That's exactly what Ezra was about.    25 "And you, Ezra, are to use the wisdom God has given you to appoint magistrates and judges who know your God's laws to govern all the people in the province west of the Euphrates River. If the people are not familiar with those laws, you must teach them.  26 Anyone who refuses to obey the law of your God and the law of the king will be punished immediately by death, banishment, confiscation of goods, or imprisonment."  27 Praise the LORD, the God of our ancestors, who made the king want to beautify the Temple of the LORD in Jerusalem!  28 And praise him for demonstrating such unfailing love to me by honoring me before the king, his council, and all his mighty princes! I felt encouraged because the gracious hand of the LORD my God was on me. And I gathered some of the leaders of Israel to return with me to Jerusalem.   --Ezra 7:6, 9-10, 25-28 New Living Translation  With God on your side, wondrous things can happen.  God will set finances, people, and locations at your fingertips.  God will move everything so you can do work for His kingdom.  It is a blessed job to work for God to further the kingdom.  Ezra indeed thanks God for His provisions.  I hope my children do their in depth study of the Bible, God's word.  May it guide them in their lives.  May it bless those around them, as my children share the word of God.  I'm sure God will bless them in their efforts.   Well, thanks for reading today's blog entry about fulfilling the destiny to share God's word.  I appreciate you taking the time to read it.
How about you, my readers?  Have you shared the Word of God with others?  Have you instilled the desire in your children to share the message of the Bible?  I pray that you are reading and studying the Bible regularly.  I hope you, who are parents, instill a love of learning about God in your children.  God will bless your efforts.
God bless you all, my dear friends, with His wisdom and peace.  In Jesus' name.  Amen!
