How to Make Piggies in Blankies

Piggies in blankies

I'm sorry this entry is coming late.  Did want to be on track, but I needed a break from writing.

This is a fun snack.  I will say that I didn't make them, though.  My hubby did.  This simple recipe came to us from a friend so we can't take credit.

Ingredients for piggies in blankies
Ingredients for piggies in blankies:

Hillshire Beef Lil' Smokes
Pillsbury crescent roll dough

Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.  That way, cleanup will be easy.  You'll just have to peel it off.

Prepped piggies in blankies

Roll each wiener with  some of the dough.  There is no right or wrong way.  To make them extra long, use two wieners, end to end.

Then, just bake in the oven for the specified time on the crescent roll package.

I have to be honest here: I made a major boo boo.  I always gripe about my hubby not reading the packaging.  Well, in this case, I didn't read.  I accidentally grabbed the wrong one for the crescent rolls.  I got the ones with the garlic flavor.

The piggies in blankies came out delicious.  My hubby and I ate them, but my kids didn't.  Next time, I will make sure to get the right crescent roll dough.  These snacks are delicious for afternoons, evenings, and breakfast time.  I hope you will give them a try and add or subtract ingredients.

This has been a Saturday Spreads entry.  I hope you liked it.
