NaNoWriMo
is National Novel Writing Month,
a month long challenge to write a novel
throughout the month of November.
We went yard sale shopping. I hadn't done that in a long time. I wouldn't be surprised if we haven't done that since last year. It was a great way to enjoy myself. We got lots of bargains and met lots of decent folks.
I didn't do any writing today. That doesn't mean that the plot to my novel hasn't been on my mind. I've come to love my heroine. I'm also thinking that if I have a lot of material for the current female character, I might make two novels. The first one would be the mother of the next heroine. I'm not sure about it, though.
I'm thinking of giving a Christian slant to my story, but I don't want my story to be too preachy. I want to show that my main character overcomes major obstacles to be the best person she can be. I don't want to take the effect away by becoming condescending to my readers. The main people involved with my heroine are already Christian so it wouldn't be a large leap for my heroine to grow spiritually throughout her journey. What do you think?
Thanks for reading my update. I appreciate you all keeping up with me.
