Day 3 NaNoWriMo

NaNoWriMo
is National Novel Writing Month,
a month long challenge to write a novel
throughout the month of November.

Today was a great day.  Daughter and I both went beyond our word count.  I am so excited!  I am doing something that I love doing, and I'm not even doing it for money.

Daughter did threaten to start another story and discontinue the one she was doing.  I told her to stick it out with the one she has.  I've given her lots of ideas.  I've asked her lots of questions.  I think it jogged a lot of new ideas in her mind.

As for me, I'm plugging along in the background to my female character.  My character was finally born today.  The future seems promising for baby Catherine, but there is trouble up ahead.

As I said, we are way ahead of the ball so we might be able to take the weekend off.  I had to plot down how many words I need to accomplish per day.  I started penciling into a calendar the suggested word count per day; it is an accumulation day after day.  Having the visual on the calendar will help me reach my daily goals.

Well, thanks for reading this update!  I appreciate it.  Thanks for following along with me on my journey to writing a 50,000 word novel.  :)
